Something changed in the last month. Clients are saying yes to custom AI apps faster and easier than ever. No long back and forth. No three weeks of “let me think about it.” They see what’s possible and they say yes. Combine that with the leap in AI capability over the last month and I’ll just say it. Everyone should be building their own custom apps right now. Here’s what I’ve built in the last month. 1. A YouTube system that runs the entire pipeline. It auto uploads the thumbnails and video details straight to YouTube. It adds the free resources for each video to their website. It turns every video into social posts like carousels and reels. They make and edit the video. The system handles everything that used to come after it. 2. A funnel builder that runs off one onboarding form. Fill in the form and it builds a complete funnel for testing a new angle. It generates the images for the pages, connects the form, creates the product in Stripe, builds the pages, deploys and hosts them, and customises the copy. Then it plugs into their existing CRM and shows the analytics they want, with a score based on a scorecard. Testing a new angle stops being a project and becomes something you can do any day. 3. A client portal for a creative studio. Clients can review video and leave comments on the exact frame they mean. Both the studio team and their clients connect to the portal through MCP, so they can reply to comments directly from inside Claude or ChatGPT. The onboarding form handles automated invoicing and contract signing. And after every job is closed, it automatically collects a review. It’s built exactly how they work. So nobody has to learn a new system, and the studio stops chasing clients for invoices, signatures and reviews. 4. A lead gen DM system. It wakes up old leads with personal 1-to-1 messages based on each lead’s activity history in the CRM. Along the way, the DMs collect more info about each lead, so the system knows how qualified they are. Then it prioritises the hottest leads and books them in for calls with the closers. So the closers spend their time on the people most likely to buy, and old leads turn into revenue that would never have existed otherwise. 5. A rebuild of my bigmoves.ai hub. (coming soon...) Every YouTube video gets its own page with the free resources I made for it. There’s also a forum, a requests board and a directory of the tools I use. I’ve wanted this hub for years but could never build it, because WordPress and old tools like it kept limiting what I could do. Now it’s built exactly how I want it, and it’s designed to sync with the system that runs my YouTube workflow. So I’m never updating things in two places, and you can find the resource for any video in one click. Now here’s the thing… I’m working on all of these at the same time. 3 to 4 projects at once, mostly with AI running in the cloud. It goes through usage a little faster. But it takes all the pressure off my local machine. And I can work on way more client projects at the same time for the small cost of a second or third Claude max subscription. So think about what that means for a business. That’s the real reason clients are saying yes so fast. Having someone on the team who builds like this means you move 3 to 5x faster, for a little more than the cost of a VA. The ROI is a no-brainer for any business owner right now. And you don’t need to become a developer to get there. You just need to stop settling for software that almost fits. Pick the one process that annoys you most. Describe it. Hit reply and tell me what you’d build first. Mitch P.S. If you’d rather skip the learning curve and have someone build it alongside you, you can see how I work with clients at mitchasser.com. If not, no worries. |

Loom annoyed me one too many times. So I built my own version. It took less than 10 minutes. In this week's video, I show you exactly how I built a free desktop app that records, uploads to Google Drive, and organizes everything by client. In this video you'll learn: How to build a free Loom alternative in under 10 minutes without writing a line of code yourself. Discover how to record and auto upload client videos straight into Google Drive without paying for a Loom subscription. How to give...
I’ve spent most of the last week testing the new Claude Code Projects. Not the old version where you dump a bunch of files into a folder and start separate chats. The new version connects to your GitHub repo, takes what you want to build, then acts as the orchestrator for the entire thing. It decides what needs to be done. Splits the work into separate threads. Then each thread builds its part and opens its own PR in GitHub. In theory, this is exactly what I want. I tell it what to build once...
I rebuilt my website last week. Start to finish in about 40 minutes. I didn’t create a PRD, feature specs or really have a plan. I talked at it for 10 minutes and let it go. And that is the exact opposite of how I build everything else. Now here’s the thing… I’ve built websites and apps for clients a dozen different ways over the last few months. Whatever the YouTubers were pushing that month. Whatever “best practices” Claude or Codex handed me when I asked for them. What I’ve landed on is...
